Consider Jesus who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

The recipients of the book of Hebrews - isolated from the established church and oppressed by a militant empire - wrestled with what it meant to lead and worship in unstable, and anxious days. They were encouraged to consider Jesus and hold onto hope in such challenging times.

Today we also face anxious and uncertain moments. Just like the readers of Hebrews we need to once again come to Jesus and consider how he invites us to show up as a source of love and hope in the world today.

How do we (re)Consider Jesus in our lives that we may highlight love over dissention, peace despite chaos, and grace in the face of resentment?

How do we (re)Consider the Love of Christ for those who have been disillusioned by others bearing his name?

How do we (re)Consider our language, actions, rituals, and practices to best capture the essence of Jesus in this moment - for my own growth and well-being, as well as for those I am called to love and serve?

This year's National Gathering is an invitation to (re)Consider Jesus for our times and context. Not as an abstract idea but as our source of peace and stability; as the living trailblazer of the path of faith we are all traversing. We hope you'll join us this October in Estes Park, CO, at the YMCA of the Rockies to (re)Consider Jesus, and how the Spirit of Jesus might be inviting us to (re)Consider every other aspect of what it means to be the people of God.
